I do have some news:
1) I have a job. It pays me well. I live downtown in a new city and new state. I have been here for 2 years and have loved almost every minute of it.
2) I am back in the game, sorta. Living downtown and the available space I have, prevents me from building the N Scale layout I would like. I have however slowly started building up a collection of tools, supplies, parts, kits, etc to get back into the hobby.
3) I realized I enjoy building kits, kit bashing and scratch building structures the most within the larger hobby. While not able to fully build a N Scale layout, I can at least work on the part of the hobby I enjoy the most.
4) I have been reading some high quality blogs and they have inspired me to get my act together.
The inspiration and goal of building quality structures, has lead me to purchase the following:
- Air compressor
- Air brush
- Weathering Chalks
- Tools (Files, Sanding sticks, hobby knives, brushes, etc)
- Paint (Found a store doing a move across town, so I go some random paint very cheap, but high quality airbrush acrylics)
- Styrene (Same moving store, same great deal. Bought them out at 80% off)
- High quality air mask and safety glasses
- A few clearance N scale kits
- A few clearance scrap kit parts for the parts bin
I look forward to making progress with more updates on the blog and on the hobby.
